We offer a number of opportunities for learning and growth at our church including our Book & Bible Studies, our Inquirer's Class, Summer Speaker Series, and much more... Spiritual Practices Exploration Class Deepen and renew your relationship with God during this four-week class. We will explore together the spiritual practices of meditation, movement, journaling, collage, labyrinth walk, meditative walk, chanting, and intentional Bible study. We will meet on the second and fourth Saturday's beginning in October 2006. For more information contact Penny Nixon at 343-3694 or pnixon@ccsm-ucc.org. Home Circles Join us as we come together to pray, read and discuss the Bible and books pertaining to our spirituality. Our hope is to learn more about our own spiritual journeys from one another and these texts. It's a wonderful opportunity to meet folks. Monday Night Book Group Monday Night Book Group meets on the 4th Monday night of the month from 7:30-9:00 p.m., in the Fireplace Room. Their goal is to have a stimulating discussion on a chosen best seller. All members and friends who love reading and sharing books are welcome. At our first meeting this program year, Monday, September 25, we will discuss Sweetness in the Belly by Camilla Gibb. Check the current newsletter, The Pine Tree, to see what the group is currently reading. Membership to this group is open ended and you may join in the fun any month. Congregational Church of San Mateo has organized a Sunday morning Summer Speakers Series featuring members and friends of our church who share their experience and knowledge as it relates to a range of interesting, timely topics. We are very fortunate to have people in our congregation with special talents and life experience who are willing to lead these discussions. Come join us for what should be very stimulating sessions!
